Collaboration and Cooperation Mechanism of Chinese Social Work

The World Philanthropy Forum (co-sponsored by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Tsinghua University, the University of Hong Kong, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong) held a social work sub-forum in 2016 and received a congratulatory letter from the president of the International Federation of Social Workers. In order to promote the cultivation of leading social service talents in China and the world and as well as the sustainable development of Chinese social work education, the "World Charity Forum: Collaboration and Cooperation Mechanism for Chinese Social Work" was initiated in 2017 and thematic meetings were held on a regular basis.
The first annual meeting was held in Beijing on November 29, 2017 with the theme of "Collaboration and Cooperation of Chinese Social Work"; the second annual meeting was held on December 14, 2018 at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with the theme of "Chinese Social Work Education: Innovation and Enlightenment"; and the third annual meeting was held at the City University of Macau on November 21, 2019 with the theme of "Innovative Social Work Education and Ecological Development of Social Service in the Future".
After consultation, the annual meeting of the "World Philanthropy Forum: Collaboration and Cooperation Mechanism of Chinese Social Work" shall be jointly organized by the Department of Social Work at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Department of Social Work of Tunghai University, Department of Innovative Social Work at City University of Macau, and Institute for Philanthropy Tsinghua University in the long run.
